ILM Schedule > New Launch (Macro)

Macro for launching sequence definition, used in Incremental Launching  Preprocessor. Depending on the selected Sequence different input is required and individually described below.

Following Sequence types can be select using the related Radio button:

  • Nose position: Before any segment can be launched the nose must be put to the proper starting position. It's initial position is defined by the sum of later launching lengths, relative to modeled final state geometry.

Notice: Positioning of the nose segment has to be the first step in the ILM Schedule!

  • Move segment: Once the nose position is defined, the segments belonging to this nose may be launched. The advancing length for one single step in this macro is defined by the total moving lengths and the number of steps, assuming that each step has the same advancing length.
  • Action block: Additional schedule actions (e.g. removing a temporary support, plot-actions or storage of current Summation load case) can be insert in between above specified launching sequence.

Nose Position

SettingDescription
Segment Name Name of the Nose Segment which should be positioned.
Tip: For easy selection press the arrow beside, which will open the Nose segment list containing all nose segments of current project.
Stage Name Name of the stage which is prepared in the schedule for positioning of the nose.
Note: As <Recalc ILM> will write all related schedule actions into this stage, this stage must be defined in the schedule before!
Tip: For easy selection press the arrow beside, which will open the Stage list containing all stages of current project.

Move Segment

SettingDescription
Segment Name Name of the Segment (usually the last in the casting yard) which should be launched.
Tip: For easy selection press the arrow beside, which will open the Segment list containing all nose and girder segments of current project.
Moving length The total moving length of this launching sequence. The launching length of the individual launching step is calculated as  'Moving length' / 'Number of steps'.
Number of steps Input the number into how many launching steps this launching sequence should be subdivided. The number will increase accuracy of result but also calculation time!
Stage Name Name of the stage which is prepared in the schedule for this launching sequence.
Note: As <Recalc ILM> will write all related schedule actions into this stage, this stage must be defined in the schedule before!
Tip: For easy selection press the arrow beside, which will open the Stage list containing all stages of current project.
LCase Name Name of the (reference) load case which is prepared for calculation and result storage of the launching steps within this launching sequence.
Note: This load case must be defined in the schedule before!
Tip: For easy selection press the arrow beside, which will open the Load case list containing all user defined load cases of current project.
Tip: <Renumber Loadcases> can be applied afterward.
LSet Name Name of the load set, above load case consists of. During schedule calculation all necessary load information will be written into this load set automatically.
Note: This load set must be defined in the schedule before!
Tip: For easy selection press the arrow beside, which will open the Load set list containing all user defined load sets of current project.

Action Block

SettingDescription
Stage Name Name of the ILM stage which should be extend by additional schedule actions.
Tip: Hint: For easy selection press the arrow beside, which will open the Stage list containing all stages of current project.
Tip: Hint: Don't forget to specify the related actions in bottom table!
